Gillice-Stanley-Ivey Family Reunion in Quotes

All of the Gillice, Stanley and Ivey families have come together for a week of food, fun and frantic activity! We have been having a great time. Bill and Kathleen Gillice, Cathy Jo Gillice, James, Desta and their kids Zoe and Owen Gillice are here with Josh, Jen, Jordan, Belen, Rebekah and Megan Ivey and last but definitely not least, JoAnne, Vic (Butler) and Tre Stanley. We have been together for 3 + days, and so far everyone is still talking to everyone else! (haha) Grandpa Brit and grandma Beth Ivey have also been here some of the time and will be visiting on and off this week. Yesterday we had a large family photo taken of everyone. It took a couple of hours and much moving around but I think that we should have some good ones in there somewhere. I got my picture taken with all 7 of my grandkids. It will be a couple of weeks before we see the proofs and make a decision on which ones to buy. Today many of us went to our local LDS branch/church, and since it is the first Sunday of the month is was 'Fast and Testimony' meeting. On the first Sunday of each month we fast from Saturday night until dinner on Sunday night (we then give the money saved on those meals as a fast offering to our church to be used to feed those in need), and during our church service, individuals who want to do so, stand up and share their testimony. Usually I take notes when we have speakers but on Fast Sunday it is harder to take notes...although as I sat in our pew, surrounded by many of my children and grandchildren, I did attempt to take notes. (Note: it also helps me to stay focused as my ADD mind tends to wander otherwise). Well, today as I was taking notes my granddaugher Jordan Ivey, took my pen and paper and started to write her own notes. It started like this: I wrote: "Live by Hope-do not be pessimistic..."
